Susan Githuku

SUSAN is the Founder and CEO of Human Performance Dynamics Africa, the boutique Organizational Development & Human Resources consulting firm based in Nairobi, Kenya. HPD Africa offers innovative “21st century” organizational and people solutions across the continent and the Middle East and is rapidly establishing a reputation as a provider of higher end strategic solutions. She co-founded the RIKA LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME which seeks to identify and build the next generation of human capital management leaders for Africa.

A global HR leader and advisor, she was previously Coca-Cola’s Eurasia Africa Director for Learning & Development based in Istanbul and prior to that, the Director for Human Capital for Coca-Cola Africa based in Windsor, UK and later and Johannesburg.  In this capacity, she was responsible for learning and development initiatives in 90 countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa and including fast growing markets such as Russia, India, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya

Prior to this role, she served as the Coca-Cola Africa Group HR Director based in London and Johannesburg, with responsibility for the people agenda in all the countries in Africa. She specializes in Executive Search & Selection with a niche focus on leadership roles and HR talent.

Susan spent 10 years working at a senior level in international non-governmental agencies including CARE, AERC and USAID and is knowledgeable in this sector. A veritable global player, Susan’s professional career spanning over 25 years and embracing a variety of functions, has seen her work in various disciplines, sectors and countries. She has an enduring passion for the identification of talent and the realization of human potential. She currently sits on the Boards of Centum Ltd ,  Circle Gas Limited and IKIGAO Co-Working. She has also served on the Boards of MKOPA Solar Limited;  Old Mutual UAP Insurance, East African Breweries Limited and Kenya Women’s Financial Trust (KWFT) amongst others.
