Widukind Baier

Widukind’s major expertise lies in the industrial sector, with a main focus on advanced technology, especially within the field of automotive. He advises clients on global megatrends such as autonomous driving, predictive safety, networked car and e-mobility. Besides the automotive area, Widukind consults companies from the electronics industry and from the FMCG sector – especially the food industry – as well as from the medical technology and chemical industry. He supports them in filling demanding vacancies both in the technical and the commercial field and is known to be a reliable and esteemed partner in challenging recruitment projects.

Widukind joined the InterSearch office in Bremen as a senior consultant in early 2012 and has been a partner from 2016 to 2023, specializing in recruiting and selecting executives in Germany and internationally, highly qualified experts for small and medium companies – especially family businesses – and corporations, as well as in Management Audits for executives. In 2023 he became Managing Partner.

Widukind’s professional origins lie in the German Army where he initially completed his studies in political science, international law and HR management and then worked in the management of the technical departments for several years, additionally assuming responsibility for training and developing junior executives. After that he worked in external communications, most recently spending a number of years in a management position, always with a special focus on the HR business.

He is fluent in English and has a lot of experience in multinational und multicultural cooperation.
