Why Uzbekistan could be seen as “new frontier market”

InterSearch Austria – P&P is delighted to share a concise interview with Dr. Alexander Picker, recently nominated  President of the Supervisory Board of Ipoteka Bank, the 4th largest state-owned bank with HQ in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Economist labelled Uzbekistan “country of the year” in December 2019 declaring that no other country travelled so far in 2019. A remarkable achievement for a country usually ranked at the bottom of international rankings, starting to become more appealing to foreign investments thanks to its economic reform agenda focussing on key state-owned businesses and banks privatization. A process that might continue in the next years towards economic and social stability.
