Run4Brain – What a day, what a team, what a run!
On Sunday, 14 October 2018, 60 runners from six countries took part in Run4Brain, an initiative of Schelstraete Delacourt Associates, Ghent University and University Hospital Ghent in support of brain research. Together, they ran the ‘20km de Paris’, a tough course through the French capital, starting and finishing at the iconic Eiffel Tower.
Run4Brain was a fantastic sporting challenge that raised over EUR 80,000 to support the
4Brain Research Team led by Prof. Dr. Paul Boon (Ghent University). As the organising partner, Schelstraete Delacourt Associates put together a team of 15 runners. InterSearch members joined the event in Paris and supported the project financially.
“What an incredible experience. Not only running through Paris together, but particularly the commitment of all the runners and sponsors for a cause that affects me personally. We couldn’t have done it without the runners, sponsors and supporters and I feel honored that the InterSearch community was part of our project.”
said Vanessa Delacourt, partner at Schelstraete Delacourt Associates – the InterSearch member firm in the Benelux.
Over 26,000 runners, warm autumn sunshine and supporters out in force ensured the perfect setting for this first successful event.
