By Joe Metts Marketing Associate at Charles Aris Inc. – Charles Aris served as a contributing sponsor of the 2018 Women’s Leadership Summit, presented by the Junior League of Greensboro (JLG) at Greensboro Marriott Downtown on March 23. Ten members of the firm attended the day’s events, which are dedicated to personal and professional development.
The Women’s Leadership Summit is a daylong leadership and professional development conference for all women in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad community. The event serves as a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Greensboro, with all proceeds supporting the League’s mission of improving the community through the action of trained volunteers and developing the potential of women.
The summit offers a platform for networking, personal growth and camaraderie among women with diverse interests, canvassing all stages of leadership.
Since the event’s inception in 2011, JLG has welcomed prominent lecturers from across North Carolina and the Southeastern United States, as well as keynote speakers such as Olympian Bonnie St. John, National Geographic’s Hiker of the Year Jennifer Pharr Davis and T.V. personality Jenna Bush Hager.
This year’s keynote speech was delivered by renowned motivational speaker Denise Ryan. An author, MBA degree holder and Certified Speaking Professional, Ryan motivates and energizes organizations at conferences, board retreats and annual meetings.
